Commissions can be undertaken for models of fortifications or subject matter not listed or mentioned here, our preferred building scale is 54mm but other scales may be considered. Contact us for details.

A slight variation on the model of the main entrance to The Torre De Belem

At the request of a customer a model of the New Gate area of the wall surrounding Coventry during the English Civil War was commissioned. Research revealed scant detail apart from the presence of the walls footprint. However following contact with the Herbert Museum and with reference to a map by John Speed from 1610 a 3' by 4' model was developed to include the New Gate Tower and ajoining walls, the measurements were taken from the existing tower of Swan Gate known to be of similar design and construction.Part complete model of 'New Gate' Coventry circ 1643 ECW to 1/32nd scale. The Salutation, an inn that was known to exist in the area of New Gate was included. Being an area of some wealth at the time some small houses and shops were included within the wall.

A commission my be anything from a large model such as that above with indepth research to create an accurate replica to a simple base on which to display a collection of figures such as that shown below.

28mm Wattle work fencing
Paul Darnell of Touching History asked for help to complete a model with fencing rather like that found on our 54mm Roman Watch Tower. The fencing was down sized using a smaller jig to suit the new scale and produced as two masters for him to cast himself.
a mock up was first produced for the customers approval ( the white panel), then two sections of four panels produced for casting (the grey sections). Support posts completed the commission work.

German Gun Team A customer presented us with an old white metal gun team very badly based and very delicate. Our response was to scatch build a new base arround the gun team without having to disturb the very delicate castings. Totaly enhansing the display.

Saxon Church a customer interested in collecting Vikings and Saxons required a church for his small layout. Our designs to compliment his existing structures and the space available centred arround St Aflheads arround AD 950.
The model was thatched with natural fibres and has opened new posibilities for further thatched models
